A preferred bar chain and restaurant has closed considered one of its websites in a UK seaside metropolis. The Slug and Lettuce in Bournemouth shut on Friday following eight years on Outdated Christchurch Highway within the coastal Dorset area. A spokesperson for the enterprise stated: “Sadly, we’re saying goodbye to our beloved Slug and Lettuce Bournemouth on February 27.

The Bournemouth restaurant turned Slug and Lettuce’s second department within the metropolis when it opened in 2018 as a part of a £390,000 funding.
The chain’s different website on Richmond Hill won’t be impacted by the change and can proceed working as standard.
The Outdated Christchurch Highway venue has a Google ranking of 4.5, with current guests praising it as a “beautiful pub” with “good ambiance and repair”.
Slug and Lettuce, which has round 77 branches across the UK, has shut a string of different areas in current months as a part of a restructuring technique.
Among the many current closures had been its Brentwood website, which was wound up in August 2025, and a restaurant in Westcliff-on-Sea which closed its doorways in December.
