A girl who shared a cell with the disgraced British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell says she had such poor hygiene behind bars that fellow inmates complained she “stank of physique odour”. Offering an perception into life behind bars, the man inmate alleges that the 64-year-old had “horrible private hygiene” and would bathe solely a few times every week.
The socialite was sentenced to twenty years in jail in 2022 after being convicted by a federal jury on 5 fees, together with intercourse trafficking, for recruiting and grooming 4 women between 1994 and 2004 for sexual encounters with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The convicted intercourse offender had been her boyfriend on the time, and died in 2019 in jail whereas awaiting his personal intercourse trafficking trial. Maxwell was held at FCI Tallahassee in Florida from July 2022 till summer season 2025.

In an announcement, the household of the late Virginia Giuffre – one among Jeffrey Epstein’s victims – expressed their “horror and disgust” at what they described because the “preferential therapy” given to Ghislaine Maxwell.
They additional condemned the transfer as having been made “with none notification to Maxwell’s victims”.
