Soccer chairman ‘bodily assaulted’ as non-league match suspended in critical incident

Yate City Soccer Membership have launched a press release explaining a critical incident amongst spectators that led to their match being suspended. The fixture between Yate City and Weymouth FC was halted for roughly an hour within the opening minute on Saturday.

The chairman of Yate City, Mark Thorne, stated membership officers had been met with conduct from “sure folks” which was thought of “completely unacceptable.” He alleged that he was bodily assaulted and verbally abused whereas chatting with away supporters behind the objective, stating {that a} “small minority” had “spoiled issues.”

The incident occurred because the membership inspired supporters of either side to maneuver to the tip the place their group was attacking, stated Thorne.
