A fireplace erupted in a quiet residential road in Eccles on Monday. Firefighters rushed to Chadwick Street at round 7pm on March 30 following reviews of a blaze.
After a number of crews reached the world, the residential road was cordoned off on the junction with Mather Avenue. The blaze had erupted at a “derelict constructing”, Better Manchester Fireplace and Rescue Service (GMFRS) stated.
Fireplace crews remained in attendance for over an hour to dampen the flames.
It’s not but clear what induced the fireplace, and a probe into its origin has now been launched, the MEN reviews.
A spokesperson for Better Manchester Fireplace and Rescue Service (GMFRS) stated: “Shortly after 7pm on Monday 30 March, three fireplace engines from Stretford, Agecroft and Eccles fireplace stations have been referred to as to attend a derelict constructing fireplace on Chadwick Street, Eccles.

“Crews arrived shortly and used one hose reel, two respiration equipment and different specialist gear to extinguish the fireplace.
“Firefighters made the world protected earlier than departing after roughly one hour and 10 minutes on the scene.”
