Glagow: Metropolis highway close to Firhill Stadium cordoned off as police swarm space

Police swarmed a busy highway close to a stadium in Glasgow, Scotland, on Tuesday morning. A police cordon was arrange on the junction of Garscube Street and Firhill Street, beside the Firhill Stadium in Maryhill, on April 7 after a person was assaulted, police stated.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “We have been made conscious of a person having been assaulted within the Maryhill space of Glasgow round 6.15am on Tuesday, 7 April, 2026. The person was traced on Garscube Street and has been taken to hospital for therapy. His accidents are severe however not described as life threatening. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Police have cordoned off the intersection of Garscube Street and Firhill Street, subsequent to Firhill Stadium in Maryhill.

The stadium is residence to Scottish Championship facet Partick Thistle.
