Teen woman who died at Wetherspoon pub in Plymouth named as reason for dying probed

A 19-year-old girl who died at a Wetherspoon pub in Plymouth has been named. An inquest was opened on Wednesday, April 15, into the dying of Kelsey O’Connor, from Walsall within the West Midlands.

Cops had been referred to as to The Mannamead on March 31 to stories of an unresponsive feminine on the venue, the inquest heard. The girl was recognized as Kelsey on the scene. Paramedics had been referred to as, however she was sadly pronounced useless.

Opening the inquest into Kelsey’s dying on Wednesday, space Coroner Deborah Archer mentioned Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed there have been no suspicious circumstances surrounding the dying, PlymouthLive stories.

The medical reason for Kelsey’s dying has not been ascertained, the inquest heard.

Emergency companies had been referred to as to the pub at roughly 7.30pm, it was reported on the time of the incident. A cordon was arrange in an alleyway behind the venue.

The Mannamead was closed whereas police carried out enquiries on behalf of the coroner.

A spokesperson for Wetherspoons mentioned shortly after the incident: “On 31 March 2026, a critical incident occurred to the rear of the Mannamead previous to the pub opening.
