A practice has derailed in Switzerland, with a number of accidents feared following an enormous avalanche. A BLS AG derailed on the road connecting Goppenstein to Hohtenn at round 7am this morning; an ongoing emergency is underway.
The practice departed from Brig at 6.12am, and is believed to have derailed within the Stockgrabe space between Goppenstein and Hohtenn. There have been 29 passengers on board the practice. The Public Prosecutor’s Workplace has opened an investigation to find out the precise circumstances of the accident.
