Tottenham slapped with Champions League fan ban and charged by UEFA over ‘Nazi salutes’

Tottenham have been fined by UEFA following an incident the place three supporters made Nazi salutes throughout their Champions League victory at Frankfurt in January.

UEFA have fined Tottenham and slapped the membership with a suspended ban on away supporters for a forthcoming UEFA competitors fixture following studies that three of their followers carried out Nazi salutes at Frankfurt in January. The membership confronted sanctions after a trio of supporters made the gestures in Germany throughout Spurs’ 2-0 Champions League triumph in opposition to Eintracht Frankfurt.

These supporters are understood to have been prohibited by the membership following the incident and now the ruling of the UEFA Management, Ethics and Disciplinary Physique (CEDB) has been revealed. The CEDB confirmed they’ve opted “to high quality Tottenham Hotspur €30,000 and to ban Tottenham Hotspur from promoting tickets to its away supporters for the following one UEFA competitors match, for the racist and/or discriminatory behaviour of its supporters.

“Mentioned ban from promoting tickets to its away supporters is suspended for a probationary interval of 1 yr, ranging from the date of the current determination. To high quality Tottenham Hotspur €2,250 for throwing of objects.”

The primary leg is scheduled for Tuesday, 10 March within the Spanish metropolis, while the return fixture shall be on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday, 18 March.
