Met Workplace names areas of England going through snow earlier than Saturday

The Met Workplace has issued yellow climate warnings for wind on Thursday overlaying principally the north of England and Nothern Eire, and this shall be adopted up with snow on Friday based on the forecaster’s newest climate maps.

In line with its newest forecast maps, snow will hit Scotland, Northern Eire and the north of England by 8am on Friday, March 13.

It added in its recommendation on coping with snow: “Hold your self and your loved ones protected when it’s icy. Plan to depart the home a minimum of 5 minutes sooner than regular. Not needing to hurry, reduces your threat of accidents, slips, and falls.

“If you could make a journey on foot, attempt to use pavements alongside predominant roads that are prone to be much less slippery. Equally, if biking, attempt to keep on with predominant roads which usually tend to have been handled.

“Be ready for climate warnings to alter: when a climate warning is issued, the Met Workplace recommends staying updated with the climate forecast in your space.”
