Tributes have flooded social media following the tragic dying of a Winter Olympian on Friday. Linas Banys, who competed on the Winter Olympics in Beijing 4 years in the past, has died, on the age of 27.
The Lithuanian Biathlon Federation introduced on Friday: “The tragic information shocked the Lithuanian biathlon household: 27-year-old biathlonist Linas Banys has died. Linas represented Lithuania within the 2022 Beijing Olympics, three World Championships, World Cup competitions, and through his profession he additionally received the title of nationwide champion.
“The Anyksciai resident ended his profession as a biathlete in 2024. Our sympathies to the household, family and your complete biathlon group.”,
