On the centre of this highly-praised “suspense thriller” is Taxi Driver and The Godfather II legend Robert De Niro, who portrays widowed psychologist David Callaway.
Following the sudden suicide of his spouse, David and his traumatised daughter Emily (Dakota Fanning) relocate to upstate New York for a brand new starting.
Nevertheless, in an try to deal with her loss, Emily invents an imaginary pal named Charlie, who proves to be menacing and aggressive, triggering a sequence of unsettling incidents.
