A jockey has tragically misplaced his life after being thrown from his horse and subsequently trampled throughout a race assembly. Elvin Abrea, 32, was competing within the sixth race on the Hapi Jockey Membership assembly in Padre Garcia, the Philippines’ sole racecourse, which has been operational solely since November, when the deadly incident befell on Saturday.
He was mounted on Fly With The Wind in a seven-horse discipline when, while transferring to the suitable, his horse appeared to strike the heels of the runner forward.
