Good Morning Britain star in Ofcom storm with ‘disgraceful’ grooming gang comment

Labour peer Ayesha Hazarika has sparked Ofcom fury after her “disgraceful” grooming gangs comment on Instances Radio. 116 folks lodged complaints with the broadcasting regulator after she performed alongside after being referred to as a “groomer” by Instances Radio presenter Stig Abell. The 50-year-old, who hosts the station’s Weekend Drivetime present, went as far as to joke that she might face a judge-led inquiry.

“I am like an enabler,” Hazarika instructed Abell on the present, which aired on March 29. He responded: “Yeah, you’re. A groomer!” Laughing, the political commentator replied: “A groomer! Oh my god. Hazarika, who has made a number of appearances as a panelist on Good Morning Britain, continued to chuckle, including: “There can be an inquiry, a judge-led inquiry into me proper now.”
