A suspected individuals smuggling gang accused of providing a ‘ferry service’ for migrants has been snared in London this morning.
4 males and one girl had been detained in Hounslow and Croydon after intelligence advised they had been a part of an organised crime community.
The Residence Workplace mentioned they allegedly provided “a complicated ‘ferry’ type service for Vietnamese migrants by assembly them, concealing them in automobiles beneath the driving force’s information and boarding ferries destined for the UK”.
They might then be taken to “pre-determined” areas, the place different members of the gang would take them to lodging.

The suspected smuggling gang are believed to have been working since 2024.
The Residence Workplace on Thursday claimed it has elevated “disruptions” of individuals smuggling gangs by 33%.
Minister for Migration and Citizenship, Mike Tapp mentioned: “This morning immigration officers took motion towards considered one of their prime precedence investigations, concentrating on a suspected prolific individuals smuggling gang. They’ve now all been arrested.
