Drivers on the M25 confronted big delays on Monday, after 4 out of 4 lanes have been shut down. The M25 was closed anticlockwise between junctions J10 and J9 because of a “police incident”, Nationwide Highways mentioned.

Shortly earlier than 11.30am, Nationwide Highways mentioned: “There are at present delays of 1 hour in opposition to anticipated site visitors.” Emergency crews have been scrambled to the incident shortly after 9am. Police mentioned the incident was linked to a “concern for security” that was resolved at round 11:40am.

Police 'coping with ongoing incident'

Surrey Police says it’s “coping with an ongoing incident” on the motorway stretch close to junction 10.

In an announcement, the drive mentioned: “Visitors is being held in each instructions and we are going to give additional updates when doable.”
