Jak Jones has revealed he “wished to stroll out” of his match towards Mark Selby after struggling an “embarrassing” 10-2 thrashing. The Welsh snooker star discovered himself 7-2 down after the opening session of their first spherical encounter.

Selby wrapped up the remaining three frames on Wednesday night to seal his spot within the final 16 towards Wu Yize. Jones confessed he had felt assured forward of the match however left the world feeling humiliated. He instructed the BBC: “I felt fairly good coming right here.
