Hearth crews had been dispatched from Totnes, Plympton, Camels Head, Greenbank, Crownhill and Plymstock in a bid to sort out the blaze, PlymouthLive reviews.

In an announcement, the hearth service stated: “Three fireplace engines and an Aerial ladder platform, had been all despatched to a report of a hearth in a block of flats in Plymouth.
“On arrival crews confirmed this was a big fireplace on a roof terrace and requested additional help. An extra 3 fireplace engines (6 in complete) and a command assist unit had been despatched to help. Crews extinguished the hearth utilizing:
