Liverpool resort: Armed police swarm metropolis centre as highway cordoned off

Armed police have cordoned off a bit of one in every of Liverpool’s busiest streets as emergency providers are on scene on Seel Avenue close to the Ropewalks Lodge. Photographs from the scene present a major variety of emergency personnel, with a number of police automobiles, matrix vans, and hearth engines on the road. Police reportedly arrived at round 6.10pm in full tactical gear and carrying riot shields, a witness informed the Liverpool Echo.

Merseyside Police mentioned: “We’re in attendance on Seel Avenue, Liverpool this night (Saturday 9 Might) as a part of enquiries to find a person who had been reported lacking. We have been referred to as shortly after 4pm to a report the person had been seen within the space. Upon arrival, threats have been made by the person to officers from inside a resort room on Seel Avenue and officers have put a containment in place as a precaution whereas they have interaction with the person.”
